Move to work

Project summary

In 2020, I entered a design challenge with designer Eden Shopen hosted by Drawerrr. The competition suggested a few design problems to pick from and solve.

53 teams of 2-4 designers entered the competition, which ended in August. Our submission took first place.

About the competition

The evaluation of the challenge was done considering 3 main factors -

  • Quality of work. How well a Case study is done. The design process and problem-solving approach overall.

  • Potential impact. How well the solution solves the problem that the designer has picked. How many people will benefit from it?

  • Real application. How likely companies will implement the proposed solution? Difficulty and business objectives.

Judges quotes

Words from the judges

“This is amazing! Did you try to reach someone (like product managers or product designers) from Nike or companies who might benefit from it, to present your concept? Or maybe team up with developers and make the real app. Your case has fairly good chances for real application.”

Bogdan Lev, Founder of Productdesign.tips.

“Good idea, great execution, and well-detailed benefits to the 3 parties considered: user, employer, and Nike.”

Vitorio Benedetti, Product Design Manager at Facebook

Judges quotes

“Very nice work. It’s an interesting approach to solving the commuting problem from a business perspective by encouraging employers and empowering their employees. The social aspect is huge too when it comes to intentionally creating peer pressure, which is an area I think is worth exploring more. Hope Nike adopts your idea soon!”

Yao Shi, Product Designer at Uber Freight
